Biological Activity for Ro 08-2750

Ro 08-2750 is a non-peptide inhibitor of NGF that binds the NGF dimer (KD ~ 1 μM) possibly causing a conformational change. Selectively inhibits binding of NGF to p75NTR at submicromolar concentrations, and to both p75NTR and TrkA at concentrations > 5 μM. Prevents NGF-induced apoptosis in SK-N-MC cells. Suppresses cancer cell proliferation via regulation of Hippo signaling aand YAP phosphorylation.
