Biological Activity for Ketoconazole

Ketoconazole is an inhibitor of cytochrome P450c17. Enhances the formation of myelin basic protein-positive oligodendrocytes from oligodendrocyte progenitor cells in vitro and promotes remyelination in vivo. Also an antifungal agent. Brain penetrant.
