MG-63 cells were pre-incubated with indicated inhibitors for 30 min followed by treatment with 10 µM LPA for 3 h to follow COX-2 expression using Western blot. All inhibitors prevented COX-2 induction by LPA.
Primary mouse mammary glands were digested, incubated with LPA or control at 5uM and then analyzed using CD24/CD29 to identify effects on the stem cell pool. A 50% reduction in the stem cell pool (p4) was identified after LPA treatment.
MG-63 cells were treated with 10 µM LPA (0-48 h) to follow COX-2 expression using Western blot. LPA induced COX-2 expression in a time-dependent manner in osteosarcoma cells.

In normal cells, each stage of the cell cycle is tightly regulated, however in cancer cells many genes and proteins that are involved in the regulation of the cell cycle are mutated or over expressed. This poster summarizes the stages of the cell cycle and DNA repair. It also highlights strategies for enhancing replicative stress in cancer cells to force mitotic catastrophe and cell death.
