Submit ReviewAspirin is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX)-1. Blocks the production of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. Exhibits antiplatelet and antithrombotic activities. Displays anticancer effects in some solid tumors. One of the first described NSAID drugs.
