TRC 051384 is a inducer of heat shock protein Hsp70; reduces stroke-associated neuronal injury and increases survival in a rat model of transient ischemic stroke. Activates heat shock factor-1 and results in elevated chaperone and anti-inflammatory activity. Enhances Hsp72 expression in neurons and glial cells.
