Biological Activity for Cladribine

Cladribine is an adenosine deaminase (ADA)-resistant analog of deoxyadenosine. Exhibits anti-leukemic activity; Inhibits cell growth of lymphoid and myeloid neoplasm (IC50 = 20 - 87 nM). Pro-apoptotic; induces DNA double-strand breaks. Also inhibits ribonuclease reductase (IC50 = 0.11 - 0.28 μM). Displays activity in vitro and in vivo. Orally bioavailable.

Programmed Cell Death Poster

Programmed Cell Death Poster

There are two currently recognized forms of programmed cell death: apoptosis and necroptosis. This poster summarizes the signaling pathways involved in apoptosis, necroptosis and cell survival following death receptor activation, and highlights the influence of the molecular switch, cFLIP, on cell fate.
