Submit ReviewPotent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (IC50 = 8 nM). Reduces circulating LDL-C by inhibiting cholesterol biosynthesis and inducing expression of LDL receptors. Inhibits smooth muscle cell proliferation in vitro and exhibits antinociceptive effects in the inflammatory hypernociception model.
