生物活性 for Orexin B (mouse)

Orexin B (mouse) is an endogenous agonist at orexin receptors. May be involved in the regulation of feeding, sleep-wake cycle and other hypothalamic functions. Orexin B exerts excitatory effects on nigral dopaminergic neurons and alleviates motor symptoms in a Parkinson's disease mouse model.

High quality peptide.
By Samanta Grella on 11/18/2022
分析类型: In Vitro
种属: Mouse

This is the second Tocris peptide we have used in our study. The first one was from human origin (product #1456). Because a colleague suggested us to repeat the experiment with a peptide from mouse origin; we have chosen this product (Orexin B mouse). The results were amazing because the neuronal activation has increased at a level we were expecting to conduct the behavioural analysis. As shown in the attached graph, this compound stimulated neuronal activity at a hippocampus nuclei, as measured by immunoflurescence after compound delivery into the brain. We are very satisfied with the result and I recommed this Tocris product.

Peptides Involved in Appetite Modulation Scientific Review

Peptides Involved in Appetite Modulation Scientific Review

Written by Sonia Tucci, Lynsay Kobelis and Tim Kirkham, this review provides a synopsis of the increasing number of peptides that have been implicated in appetite regulation and energy homeostasis; putative roles of the major peptides are outlined and compounds available from Tocris are listed.
