UoS 12258 is a positive allosteric modulator of AMPA receptors (pEC50 = 5.2 for potentiation of AMPA-mediated currents in vitro). Also potentiates AMPA-mediated synaptic responses in vivo. Improves performance of rats in various learning and memory paradigms
