Phosphoinositide-dependent Kinase 1
Phosphoinositide-dependent kinase 1 (PDPK1, PDK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase integral to the function of the PI 3-K/Akt signaling pathway. PDPK1 and mTORC2 both phosphorylate and activate PKB/Akt, ensuring a cellular response to growth factors and insulin signaling.

PDPK1 (PDK1) inhibitor; inhibits Akt signaling |
Phosphoinositide-dependent kinase 1 (PDPK1, PDK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase integral to the function of the PI 3-K/Akt signaling pathway. PDPK1 and mTORC2 both phosphorylate and activate PKB/Akt, ensuring a cellular response to stimuli such as growth factors and insulin signaling. Akt is the main effector of PDPK1.
PDPK1 also phosphorylates several members of the AGC (automatic gain control) family of protein kinases. PDPK1 phosphorylates substrates either constitutively or in response to a cellular agonist.
