Submit ReviewTAT-PDHPS1 is a YAP inhibitor (Yes-associated protein inhibitor). It comprises the endogenous peptide PDHPS1 and the cell-penetrating peptide sequence TAT. PDHPS1 binds to protein phosphatase 2 phosphatase activator (PTPA), which activates protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A). This activation leads to the phosphorylation of YAP and the suppression of YAP-targeted genes. TAT-PDHPS1 inhibits the proliferation of ovarian cancer cells in vitro and ovarian tumor growth in a subcutaneous xenograft mouse model.

In normal cells, each stage of the cell cycle is tightly regulated, however in cancer cells many genes and proteins that are involved in the regulation of the cell cycle are mutated or over expressed. This poster summarizes the stages of the cell cycle and DNA repair. It also highlights strategies for enhancing replicative stress in cancer cells to force mitotic catastrophe and cell death.
