WAY 208466 dihydrochloride is a high affinity, selective 5-HT6 agonist (EC50 = 7.3 nM at the human 5-HT6 receptor). Elevates cortical GABA levels in vivo in rat frontal cortex. Exhibits antidepressant and anxiolytic-like effects.
