Biological Activity for WIC1

WIC1 is an inhibitor of the canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. In vitro, it reduces ABSC (Airway Basal Stem Cell) proliferation and induces ciliated epithelial cell differentiation, in a model of squamous lung cancer. WIC1 also represses the phosphorylation of β-cateninY489 and Tp63 expression.
