Preparing Stock Solutions for Lidocaine

The following data is based on the product molecular weight 234.34. Batch specific molecular weights may vary from batch to batch due to the degree of hydration, which will affect the solvent volumes required to prepare stock solutions.

Select a batch to recalculate based on the batch molecular weight:
Concentration / Solvent Volume / Mass 1 mg 5 mg 10 mg
1 mM 4.27 mL 21.34 mL 42.67 mL
5 mM 0.85 mL 4.27 mL 8.53 mL
10 mM 0.43 mL 2.13 mL 4.27 mL

Lidocaine in prelimbic medial prefrontal cortex blocks cue-induced reinstatement of MDMA seeking.
By Kevin Ball on 01/25/2019
Assay Type: In Vivo
Species: Rat

Bilateral microinjections of lidocaine (100 micrograms/0.5 microliter/side) into prelimbic, but not infralimbic, medial prefrontal cortex blocked cue-induced reinstatement of MDMA (ecstasy)-seeking behavior compared with saline microinjections into the same region. Lidocaine microinjections into either region did not, however, have an effect on food-maintained responding, ruling out a nonspecific disruption of motor performance.
