生物活性

Polyamine Supplement x1000 (lyophilized) is a media supplement comprising a lyophilized mixture of Putrescine, Spermine (Cat. No. 0958) and Spermidine. The product is used as a component of the CEPT cocktail, in combination with Emricasan (Cat. No. 7310), Chroman 1 (Cat. No. 7163) and trans-ISRIB (Cat. No. 5284) to enhance viability of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) and their differentiated progeny. Polyamine Supplement x1000 (lyophilized) also improves survival of pluripotent and differentiated cells during cryopreservation, organoid formation, single-cell cloning, and genome editing.

NOTE: This reagent is provided lyophilized. To use prepare a 1000x stock solution by reconstituting vial contents in 5 mL of ddH2O and filter sterilize before use. Add 1 mL of sterile resuspended polyamines supplement (1000x stock) per 1 L of media.

Stem Cells Scientific Review

Stem Cells Scientific Review

Written by Kirsty E. Clarke, Victoria B. Christie, Andy Whiting and Stefan A. Przyborski, this review provides an overview of the use of small molecules in the control of stem cell growth and differentiation. Key signaling pathways are highlighted, and the regulation of ES cell self-renewal and somatic cell reprogramming is discussed. Compounds available from Tocris are listed.

Stem Cell Workflow Poster

Stem Cell Workflow Poster

Stem cells have potential as a source of cells and tissues for research and treatment of disease. This poster summarizes some key protocols demonstrating the use of small molecules across the stem cell workflow, from reprogramming, through self-renewal, storage and differentiation to verification. Advantages of using small molecules are also highlighted.
