Submit ReviewKey Information: Janelia Fluor® 549, Tetrazine is a yellow fluorescent dye; supplied with a tetrazine reactive handle for copper-free click chemistry. Suitable for live-cell imaging.
Application: Suitable for confocal microscopy and super resolution microscopy (SRM) techniques including dSTORM (in both live and fixed cells) and STED. Janelia Fluor® 549, tetrazine is cell permeable. It can be coupled directly to a protein of interest using bioorthogonal chemistry and unnatural amino acid technology and has been used in this way to label living primary neurons.
Properties and Photophysical Data: Excitation and emission maxima (λ) are 549 nm and 571 nm, respectively; quantum yield = 0.88; extinction coefficient = 101,000 M-1cm-1; A280 correction factor = 0.169.
