KCl (5.4 mM) is added in the extracellular buffer, consisting of (in mM) 137 NaCl, 1 CaCl2, 1 MgCl2, 10 HEPES and 10 glucose and pH is adjusted to 7.4 with NaOH and used to perfuse cells during Ca2+ imaging in Fura2-loaded cells.

KCl used to make potassium buffer for cell loading.

I have used KCl for loading my cells with potassium prior to potassium efflux studies. Potassium chloride was used to make potassium buffer.
