Submit ReviewTRIS base is a commonly used laboratory reagent. Highly water soluble. Working pH range 7 - 9. Used in buffer solutions such as Tris-buffered saline (TBS), Tris-acetate-EDTA (TAE) in combination with acetic acid and EDTA (Cat. No. 2811) and Tris-borate-EDTA in combination with boric acid and EDTA.

We have used this product to make western blot gels of different percentages of acrylamide
I used this for making TBS buffers for western blots. All seemed to work fine.
