Biological Activity for NAI

NAI is a reagent for RNA SHAPE-MaP experiments in live cells. Acylates the 2'-OH in RNA, labels single stranded or flexible regions more than folded regions (SHAPE methodology). Enables analysis of RNA secondary structures at single nucleotide resolution. Exhibits greater signals with lower background than 1M7 for in vivo measurement of the RNA structurome. Also more stable than 1M7 in water. β-mercaptoethanol terminates reaction. Cell permeable.

Preparing Stock Solutions for NAI

The following data is based on the product molecular weight 187.2. Batch specific molecular weights may vary from batch to batch due to the degree of hydration, which will affect the solvent volumes required to prepare stock solutions.

Select a batch to recalculate based on the batch molecular weight:
Concentration / Solvent Volume / Mass 1 mg 5 mg 10 mg
20 mM 0.27 mL 1.34 mL 2.67 mL
100 mM 0.05 mL 0.27 mL 0.53 mL
200 mM 0.03 mL 0.13 mL 0.27 mL
1000 mM 0.01 mL 0.03 mL 0.05 mL
