生物活性 for Lithium carbonate

Lithium carbonate is a mood stabilizer; thought to act by reducing catecholamine neurotransmitter concentration, through an effect on the Na+/K+ ATPase pump. Effective in the treatment of bipolar disorder. Inhibits GSK-3 in vivo.

Li2CO3 prolongs cardiac action potential duration.
By Chintan Koyani on 10/23/2018
分析类型: In Vitro
种属: Other
细胞系/组织: Ventricular cardiomyocytes

Guinea pig ventricular cardiomyocytes were patched and stimulated at a 1 Hz frequency to record action potentials before and after Li2CO3 (10 and 30 µM). Li2CO3 significantly prolonged action potential duration at 20% and 90% repolarization levels.
